New Features

Garden of Heaven

The Garden of Heaven is a new area which can be reached via the portals in each kingdoms palace (Derion: Brunas king's palace, Valorian: High King Neban Maha's palace). It is a contested area and therefore players of the opposing kingdom can always be attacked. If the War in the Garden of Heaven is not currently active all gates on the map are opened. Here you will also find the portal to enter the two new instances “Hellfirelabyrinth” and “Marduks Nest”.

War in the Garden of Heaven

This feature was added for all the PvP enthusiast. It is the biggest PvP-Feature in 4Story with no limit for the amount of players that can participate. The goal for every kingdom is to defeat the opposing kingdoms leader. The War in the Garden of Heaven will take place every Saturday 30 minutes after the end of the area conquest. Shortly before the “War in the Garden of Heaven” will commence, all players currently that are currently in the map “Garden of Heaven” will be teleported to their capital city. With the start of the war the gates on the map will close. When the war is finished there will be a short time of peace (5 minutes) within the boundaries of the map (this is like the peace time after the end of the area conquests). This peace time is extended if the war is over before 40 minutes have passed. More information can be found in our Guide: The War in the Garden of Heaven

Gemstone-System

The Iberian smiths have found a new way to make weapons and armor even more powerful than before. Magical gems which can be obtained from monsters or from the cash-shop can be applied to your precious armor and weapons. These Gemstones will raise the … level by 1. But there is no way to apply more than 5 of these magical gems to your items. Be advised that the successrate for applying the gems to your items decreases with each gem that was successfully applied. Since we are talking about artisan work all gems will break if the smith is not successful at adding a new one. More information can be found in our Guide: The Gemstone-System

Hellfirelabyrinth

The Hellfirelabyrinth, seat of the mighty firelord Moloch, can be reached via the portal in the Garden of Heaven. Moloch and his minions await groups of highest level players. It is not advised to wander in these caverns alone. All monsters within the Hellfirelabyrith have high resistances against area of effect and stunning skills (except the skills of Warriors and Nightwalkers). Therefore every group of heroes should prepare for hard fights. Items that are obtained with the reaches of the Hellfirelabyrinth cannot be used for refining and can only be repaired by using the traveling tools.

Marduks Nest

In his lair Marduk the much-feared dragon waits with his warriors for lightheaded heroes to teach them a lesson. Players of the highest levels that already have defeated Moloch in the Hellfirelabyrinth will find another and much-harder challenge. Marduks Nest should not be visited alone as all monsters will again have a high resistance against area of effect and stunning skills (except warrior and nightwalker skills). You may enter Marduks Nest via the portal in the Garden of Heaven. Items that are obtained with the reaches of the Marduks Nest cannot be used for refining and can only be repaired by using the traveling tools.

Utility Bar

If it happens that you do not know where to find the next smith or salesman you can use the new Utility Bar and your character will start walking towards the next NPC of your choice.

Additional Modifications

  • Four new haircuts for each race/gender combinationThese can eiter be selected at character creation or can be obtained by a cash-shop item.
  • Pearl merchant Rusiela arrived in Tebekut and sells her precious pealrs there. Pearls are strange magical items that, once broken, can reveal a wide variety of items. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell which items will be revealed before breaking the pearl.
  • Reward Inbox Should you receive rewards for a successful participation in the area occupation, castle sieges, War in the Garden of Heavon or the nation wars within the mission maps you will not receive them in your normal inbox anymore. These rewards will now be shown in the rewards inbox that can be reached by opening you normal inbox and then click on the button for the reward inbox.
  • Coins of Endendros can now be turned into Bonus points at special NPCS (in each capital city). 100 coins are needed to receive 1000 bonus points. The    **bonus point shop** is not yet available but will open its gates in the coming weeks. Nevertheless you can already start to gather your bonus points and directly fill your bags once the bonus point shop is available.

Changes

General

  • Twitter function was removed from the game
  • The paths of the guards in Hesed, Ardir, Gebra and Tyconteroga were changed.
  • Coins of Endendros are not tradable anymore
  • Some monsters do now have the ability to detect hidden characters and will attack if they discover players.
  • Red Mushroom Spirits will now spawn at random locations six hours after they have been killed. As soon as a red Mushroom Spirit spawns it will be announced via the Notice-chat.
  • The animations of the magic attack was changed.
  • The prices for lendable items in Keter and Markut have been reduced by 10%
  • The lendable items are now properly upgraded
    Items for 3 days: +12
    Items for 5 days: +15
  • The NPCs Mini and Max now have their original sizes back.
  • Secret documents, Invitation to the 2nd battle, Arahur Rampart War Declaration and Narwashi-Battle war declaration can now be sold to NPCs
  • The effect of Premium Endurance and Premium Mana Potion can not be debuffed by archers chaos arrow anymore and will not be removed if you die.
  • Whips cannot be obtained inside instances anymore.
  • Osiris Gemstone is now tradable and can be sold to NPCs (10 silver)
  • The amount of Water of the Worlds needed to craft Cloak of the Wind has been reduced to 10.
  • The amount of materials needed to craft armor parts and weapons has been reduced.
  • All items that are needed to craft weapons and armor parts can now be looted from all monsters beginning at level 1.
  • All items with a performance level below 38 cannot be crafted anymore. The items needed for this will therefore not be dropped anymore.
  • Items that have an enchanted main attribute can now be upgraded too. But the enhanced main attribute will be reset to stock values if this happens.
  • The mount merchant Mark now sells white and black mounts for gold.

Gor

  • Placers that choose the kingdom of Gor as their faction are now able to do the repeatable quests in Highlands (level 76 quests). This is only possible as long as characters are below level 82 The Quest „Tokamin" however cannot be completed after a switch to Gor
  • Gor characters can not change the kingdom they want to support on a daily basis.
  • Gor characters can now support the kingdom of their choosing and are not limited in their choice anymore.
  • The mechanism that keeps the balance between the kingdoms has been changed
    The highest active character of a player is now used for this balancing mechanism (Before all characters of a player were used)

New Balancing Mechanism

  • There are now three levels of advantages/disadvantages between the kingdoms
  • Should the difference between the two kingdoms be below 5% it will be seen as balanced
  • Should the difference be higher than 5% and below 6.5% level 1 will come into effect.
  • Should the difference be higher than 6.5% and below 8% level 2 will come into effect.
  • Should the difference be higher that 8% level 3 will come into effect.
  • The current status can always be seen at the NPC Slaytan in Tebekut.

Support for weaker kingdom

  • Level 1: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are increased by 10%
  • Level 2: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are increased by 20%
  • Level 3: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are increased by 30%

Support for stronger kingdom

  • Level 1: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are decreased by 30%
  • Level 2: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are decreased by 60%. Additionally players will not be able to receive rewards from mission maps.
  • Level 3: Honor and acchievement points gained throug PvP are decreased by 90%. Additionally players will not be able to receive rewards from mission maps, area conquest, castle sieges and the war in the Garden of Heaven

PVP

  • The patrons of the area conquest have had their hitpoints and level increased
  • The gate guards of the area conquest have had their level and hitpoints increased
  • The „Teleport to main city“ function that pops up near the mini map shortly before the area conquest begins was changed and will now show all territories that your kingdom currently holds. You can now directly teleport to the areas that need to be defended.
  • The rewards for the successful participation in the area conquests have been changed

The Call of the North

  • Gained money was increased from 18s 2c to 36s 4c
  • Life elixir now heals for 1200 hitpoints (before 600). The amount of elixirs was reduced from 5 to 3
  • Mana elixir will now replenish 1200 mana points (before 600). The amount of elixirs was reduced from 5 to 3

Headquarters of the North

  • Gained money was increased from 36s 4c to 72s 9c
  • Life elixir now heals for 1200 hitpoints (before 600). The amount of elixirs was reduced from 10 to 5
  • Mana elixir will now replenish 1200 mana points (before 600). The amount of elixirs was reduced from 10 to 5

Call of the South

  • Gained money was increased from 62s 8c to 124s 15c

Headquarters of the South

  • Gained money was increased from 124s 15c TO 248s 31c

Mentor-System

  • The level of a mentor will now be set to 19, 29, 39 or 49 when in a group with a mentee and the mentor system activated.
  • It is not possible to gain any honor while the mentor system is active
  • As soon as the mentor system is deactivated honor can be gained again.
  • If a mentee is in the active range of his mentor he can not gain any honor or achievement points
  • Enemies that do not use the mentor system will loose honor when defeated

Interface

  • The portal menu was modified
  • The cash-shop-inventory was modified
  • Smaller modifications in the character selection screen
  • The quest window was enhanced and additional functionality was added
  • A butten to skip the tutorial was added tot he first information window in the tutorial
  • The icons of inactive skills were modified
  • When a character dies he will be presented with a popup for ressurection when inside a shrine. No need to walk to the monk anymore.

Quests und instances

  • The instances Cellar labyrinth and Solaphrem's grave have been redesigned
  • The quests fort he first two instances of each kingdom have been redesigned and extended
  • The quests in Yesode, Horusland, Tibered and Tarat were edited
  • The repeatable quests in Yesode, Horusland Tarat and Tibered were replaced by new repeatable quests
  • Every remaining repeatable quests up until the quests in the Highlands were adjusted.
  • Additional portals were added for cenvenience

The automatic level up rewards have been changed

  • Level 5: +6 weapon (permanent)
  • Level 9: +6 armor (permanent)
  • Level 15: Bag with 8 slots, Secret Document
  • Level 20: +12 weapon (limited to 6 days), 10 Arch Magician's Formulas, 10 Apprentice's formulas, Secret Document
  • Level 30: +14 weapon (limited to 7 days), Secret Document
  • Level 40: +14 weapon (limited to 7 days), Secret Document
  • Level 50: +16 weapon (limited to 10 days), Secret Document
  • Level 60: +16 weapon (limited to 10 days), Secret Document
  • Level 70: +18 weapon (limited to 14 days), Secret Document
  • Level 80: Secret Document

Classes

Warrior

  • Defence position

    • Magical defense was reduced from 135% to 125%
  • Defence Call

    • Magical defense was slightly reduced
  • Anaesthesia

    • Cooldown was changed to 30 seconds
  • Battle Cry

    • Cooldown was changed to 28 seconds
  • Hell Whirl

    • Cooldown was changed to 28 seconds
  • Blockade

    • Cooldown was changed to 28 seconds
    • Duration was decreased from 8 to 5 seconds
    • Duration is increased by 1 second for every skillpoint

Nightwalker

  • Mute

    • Cooldown was changed to 32 seconds
    • Cooldown is increased by 0.5 seconds for every skillpoint
  • Throw Sand

    • Cooldown was changed to 32 seconds
    • For each skillpoint invested the cooldown is increased by 0.5 seconds
  • Fear

    • Cooldown was changed to 32 seconds
    • For each skillpoint invested the cooldown is increased by 0.5 seconds
  • Conniving Attack

    • Cooldown removed
  • Gruesome blade

    • Cooldown removed
  • Poison Aura

    • Initial damage was increased from 20% to 25%
  • Poison

    • Initial damage was increased from 20% to 25%

Archer

  • Wind Blessing

    • Stuns are not reflected anymore
  • Lapiris' Protection

    • Cooldown was increased from 18 to 32 seconds

Summoner

  • Blockade

    • Cooldown was changed to 25 seconds
    • Duration was decreased from 8 to 5 seconds
    • Duration is increased by 1 second for every skillpoint
  • Anaesthesia of the dark demon

    • Cooldown was changed to 25 seconds
  • Battle Cry of the dark demon

    • Cooldown was changed to 25 seconds
  • Frost Prison of the light spirit

    • Cooldown was changed to 25 seconds
  • Hell Flame of the light spirit

    • Cooldown was changed to 25 seconds

Priest

  • Dignified Suffering

    • Cooldown was reduced from 480 to 420 seconds
    • Dignified suffering will not consume hitpoints anymore. Instead mana points will be consumed
    • At skill level 1 100 mana points per second will be consumed. This value will decrease by 25 mana per every skill point you spend
  • Cure

    • Animation was changed and is now a bit faster

Bug fixes

  • An error which resulted in warriors not being able to drag their standard attack into the action bar was fixed
  • An error which resulted in AOE attacks not having their proper critical rate applied was fixed
  • An error which resulted in not being able to continue with the RPS game (Rock-Paper-Siccors) was fixed
  • An error which resulted in two priests not being able to buff themselves was fixed
  • An error which resulted in players not being able to leave the kings grave instance was fixed.
  • An error which resulted in players not being able to finish certain quests was fixed.
  • A bug which resulted in Nightwalkers notconsuming mana while being camouflaged after opening a private shop has been fixed.
